Helping you get past your past

I am trained in EMDR therapy. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a well researched and structured model of strength-based psychotherapy that works with memories, core-self beliefs, emotions, and body sensations in order to eliminate painful past experiences that may be prohibiting you from creating change in your life.


Significant stressful or traumatic experiences can overwhelm the brain's natural way of processing, causing severe emotional pain if not immediately addressed and processed. These significant traumatic experiences take a longer time to heal, therefore, they often can get stuck and never fully heal.


EMDR helps address those memories, bodily sensations, and negative core beliefs into healthy processing. It helps get the memory or experience unstuck so that healing and change can occur. After EMDR, these experiences that may have triggered a negative response will no longer be triggered and will be less upsetting.
